Title: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Rating: 7.5/10
Director: Edgar Wright
Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) a 22 year old bass guitarist in a band called Sex Bob-Omb faces the scorn of his friends when he tells them that he is dating an Asian high school girl name Knives Chau (Ellen Wong).
Due to the childish relationship Scott soon loses interest and falls for Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) a delivery girl. After going on a date with Ramona and spending the night with her, Scott finally breaks up with Knives and officially starts his relationship with Ramona. Little does he know of the peril that involves those who date Ramona. To date her one has to successfully defeat all her Ex-Boyfriends in a battle royale.
Considered by many to be a bit puerile and extremely comical, Scott Pilgrim is based on the comic of the same name and borrows heavily from mainstream comic action scenes. The comedy in this movie is very ticklish as it will entertain you no matter how many times you watch it.
The acting done by Michael Cera who is the only star worth mentioning in this movie is spell bounding and flamboyant, With countless sarcastic and ironic moments that make this movie a superb ballad indeed. With unrealistic action scenes made specifically to amuse the audience Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a spectacle to behold.
